Dr. Swingdorf has been a resident of Inver Grove Heights for 32 years. He started Cahill Dental in 1978. Dr. Swingdorf graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead cum laude with a degree in biology and chemistry in 1974. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

Dr. Swingdorf is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, Saint Paul District Dental Society, and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. He has 30 years experience in treating orthodontic patients. Dr. Swingdorf is also a Certified Invisalign Provider and has earned a Preferred Provider status from Invisalign in 2010. Dr Swingdorf has been awarded Premier status by the Invisalign Company. This represents his continuing many hours of education each year with Invisalign and achieving a level of experience in providing Invisalign treatment.

Dentistry is staying in the family as both of his sons are presently attending the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. When not in the office, Dr. Swingdorf can be found on the St. Croix River in the summer and either hunting or fishing in their respective seasons.
